1. Overview

AnesthAssist ("the App") is a clinical reference tool designed for anesthesiology professionals. This Privacy Policy describes how the App handles information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining your trust.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

AnesthAssist does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:

• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, date of birth)
• Patient data or protected health information (PHI)
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Crash reports or diagnostic logs sent to third parties

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only, using Apple's standard secure on-device storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device:

• Case logs — anesthesia case entries you create for ACGME tracking
• Checklist state — pre-flight checklist completion status
• Calculator inputs — weight, dosing, and other values you enter

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the App.

4. No Third-Party Services

AnesthAssist does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data-sharing SDKs. No data is transmitted to any external server.

5. HIPAA Notice

AnesthAssist is a reference and calculation tool intended for use by licensed healthcare professionals. The App is not designed to store, process, or transmit protected health information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA. Do not enter identifiable patient information into the App.

6. Not a Substitute for Clinical Judgment

The drug dosages, protocols, and clinical references provided in this App are for informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical judgment, institutional protocols, or package insert guidance. Always verify critical information before clinical use.

7. Children's Privacy

AnesthAssist is intended for use by licensed medical professionals only and is not directed at individuals under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
